Respect  Empower Achieve Community Highest

Hello Boyle Road families! I am so excited to be a part of your child's on-going learning experiences here at Boyle Road Elementary School. Boyle Road Elementary is a grade 3-5 school serving over 350 students from the Port Jefferson Station community. Our highly qualified faculty and staff are dedicated to helping each student R.E.A.C.H his/her full potential. We live and work by our mission statement, which is summarized by
R.E.A.C.H. We strive to foster respect, empowerment, achievement, a sense of community, with the highest expectation for every learner. The talented staff at Boyle Road is committed to our students, their families, and the community.

Our top priority at Boyle Road is learning. To ensure every child’s success, the staff works together in collaborative teams with "you," the parent.  This helps us maximize learning for every student. Parents are an integral member of our learning community.  We invite you to get involved in any way that you can. When parents and the school work together, students achieve!

We provide students and their families with a safe and respectful learning environment which celebrates and honors individual diversity. Boyle Road is a "bucket filling" school. Our school-wide focus is based on the book "How Full Is Your Bucket?" For Kids by Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer. The premise of the book is that everyone carries an invisible bucket containing feelings. When one’s bucket is full, he/she feels great. When one’s bucket is empty, he/she feels sad. Bucket fillers are those people who say or do nice things for others. By doing this, they fill other people's buckets, filling their own bucket at the same time! On the other hand, a bucket dipper says or does things to cause other people to feel bad. A bucket dipper empties their bucket when they say and do mean things. A bucket dipper is a bully. We all work daily to be bucket fillers in every thing we say and do.

It is an honor to be the principal at Boyle Road Elementary School. Remember, "We are a family" here at Boyle Road Elementary School. I maintain an open door policy and invite you to speak with me regarding any questions and/or concerns. Please take a few moments to explore our website so you can learn more about our school and upcoming events. We look forward to working with you throughout the course of the entire school year!
